Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup mixed dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, apricots)
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, buttermilk, and eggs.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Fold in the dried fruits and nuts.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
