Description

These turkey burgers are juicy, flavorful, and anything but boring. With a combination of fresh herbs, grated onion, Dijon mustard, and a touch of garlic, these lean burgers pack a flavorful punch that rivals any beef burger. They’re perfect for a weeknight dinner, barbecue, or healthy meal prep option. And the best part? You can customize them with your favorite toppings and buns for a burger that’s light, hearty, and satisfying all at once.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ⅓ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together turkey, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, Dijon, Worcestershire, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Gently mix until just combined—avoid overmixing.
  • Divide into four equal patties and press a slight indent into the center of each.
  • Heat a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat.
  • Cook patties for 5–6 minutes on each side, until golden brown and internal temp reaches 165°F.
  • Let rest for 2 minutes before assembling with buns and toppings.

Notes

  • Chill patties before cooking to help them hold shape.
  • Use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking.
