  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 ½ cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots (about 2832 oz)
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder (to taste)
  • Optional: 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, ¼ cup sour cream


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.

  3. Add chopped onions and cook until soft, about 3 minutes.

  4. Stir in mushroom soup, vegetables, and optional sour cream. Season well.

  5. Spread the beef mixture into the baking dish and smooth the top.

  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the filling.

  7. Layer tater tots in rows to cover the top completely.

  8. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes or until tater tots are golden and the casserole is bubbling.

  9. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
