- 1 box of vanilla cake mix
- 1 package of strawberry gelatin (Jell-O)
- 1 cup of water
- ½ cup of vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup of finely chopped fresh strawberries
- 8 oz of cream cheese (softened)
- ½ cup of unsalted butter (softened)
- 3 cups of powdered sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1–2 tbsp of milk
- 1 ½ cups of crushed golden Oreos
- ½ cup of melted butter
- 2 tbsp of strawberry gelatin (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, strawberry gelatin, water, oil, eggs, and chopped strawberries until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- For the topping, crush the Oreos and mix with melted butter and strawberry gelatin.
- Frost the cooled cake with the cream cheese frosting, then top with the Oreo crunch mixture.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- Make sure the cake cools completely before frosting it to avoid melting.
