Description

Ingredients

  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 1 package of strawberry gelatin (Jell-O)
  • 1 cup of water
  • ½ cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of finely chopped fresh strawberries
  • 8 oz of cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup of unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 12 tbsp of milk
  • 1 ½ cups of crushed golden Oreos
  • ½ cup of melted butter
  • 2 tbsp of strawberry gelatin (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, strawberry gelatin, water, oil, eggs, and chopped strawberries until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.
  4. For the frosting, beat together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
  5. For the topping, crush the Oreos and mix with melted butter and strawberry gelatin.
  6. Frost the cooled cake with the cream cheese frosting, then top with the Oreo crunch mixture.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
