Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1.5-inch cubes
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 red onion, cut into chunks
  • 8 oz mushrooms, halved
  • 1 zucchini, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate the Steak: Cut the steak into cubes and place in a zip-top bag with the marinade. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, up to 4 hours.
  3. Prepare the Vegetables: Chop the peppers, onion, mushrooms, and zucchini into uniform pieces. Toss with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Assemble the Skewers: Thread the marinated steak and vegetables onto skewers, alternating colors and textures.
  5. Preheat the Grill: Heat the grill to medium-high (around 400°F) and oil the grates.
  6. Grill the Kabobs: Cook for 10-15 minutes, turning every 3-4 minutes, until steak reaches desired doneness.
  7. Rest and Serve: Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • For extra tenderness, use ribeye or filet mignon.
  • To make it spicy, add ½ tsp red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • Serve with garlic butter rice or grilled corn for a complete meal.
