Description

A healthy twist on the classic burger, these salmon patties are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients. Perfect for a light summer dinner or an easy weeknight meal, these salmon burgers are quick to prepare and highly customizable to your taste.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillets, chopped
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or gluten-free breadcrumbs)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Burger buns (or lettuce wraps)
  • Toppings: avocado, red onion, cucumber, fresh dill, mayo or tartar sauce

Instructions

  • Combine the chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, dill, lemon zest, garlic, mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix gently until combined.
  • Shape the mixture into patties, pressing firmly to hold the shape.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Toast the buns, then assemble the burgers with your choice of toppings and serve.

Notes

  • For a healthier version, serve in lettuce wraps instead of buns.
  • Chill the patties for 30 minutes before cooking to help them hold together.
