Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb spicy breakfast sausage
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes, drained
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 ¾ cups Bisquick or all-purpose baking mix
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and sausage until fully combined.
  3. Add the drained Rotel tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and seasonings. Mix well.
  4. Gradually stir in the Bisquick, combining until a thick dough forms.
  5. Roll into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a crispier texture, bake them on a wire rack.
  • Can be frozen before or after baking for easy make-ahead meals.
  • Swap out pork sausage for turkey sausage for a lighter option.
  • Serve with ranch, honey mustard, or spicy mayo for dipping.
