Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear on both sides until golden and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and cover.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Stir in pasta and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream and parmesan. Let simmer for 3-4 minutes until creamy.
- Slice the chicken and return to the pan, tossing gently to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sear the chicken with a tablespoon of butter.
- Freshly grated parmesan melts better than pre-grated for a creamier sauce.
- This recipe works well with chicken thighs for a juicier alternative.
