Description

This rich, savory dish combines golden-brown chicken breasts with buttery, garlicky noodles all cooked in one pan for minimal cleanup and maximum flavor. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a special dinner that will impress guests, this recipe is a true crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear on both sides until golden and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and cover.
  3. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute.
  4. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Stir in pasta and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 10 minutes.
  5. Lower the heat and stir in heavy cream and parmesan. Let simmer for 3-4 minutes until creamy.
  6. Slice the chicken and return to the pan, tossing gently to coat in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sear the chicken with a tablespoon of butter.
  • Freshly grated parmesan melts better than pre-grated for a creamier sauce.
  • This recipe works well with chicken thighs for a juicier alternative.
