- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

- 1 cup maraschino cherries, chopped and dried
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in chopped cherries and chocolate chips.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes, then scoop into balls.
- Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
