- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni or deli meats
- 1 cup cooked spinach or arugula
- 1 cup provolone cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
- 1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Combine flour and salt in a bowl. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, then knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Roll out the dough into a 12×18 inch rectangle.
- Spread the cheeses and meats evenly on the dough, leaving edges free.
- Roll up the dough, seal the edges, and brush with olive oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve with marinara sauce.
