Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni or deli meats
  • 1 cup cooked spinach or arugula
  • 1 cup provolone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Combine flour and salt in a bowl. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, then knead until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  5. Roll out the dough into a 12×18 inch rectangle.
  6. Spread the cheeses and meats evenly on the dough, leaving edges free.
  7. Roll up the dough, seal the edges, and brush with olive oil.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve with marinara sauce.
