Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 45 garlic cloves, minced
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
  • Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • Pound chicken breasts to even thickness and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, water, and optional red pepper flakes.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and pour in the honey garlic sauce. Simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened slightly.
  • Return chicken to pan and spoon sauce over top for 1–2 minutes.
  • Slice and serve with sauce, garnished with herbs if desired.

Notes

  • Always rest your chicken before slicing for juicier results.
  • Make extra sauce if serving over rice or noodles.
  • A small splash of lemon or orange juice can brighten the sauce.
