Description

A deliciously sticky and flavorful dish that perfectly balances the sweetness of honey with the smoky depth of BBQ sauce. This recipe creates tender, juicy chicken glazed with a shiny, caramelized sauce that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings. It’s easy to prepare, quick to cook, and pairs wonderfully with a variety of sides.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs or breasts (bone-in or boneless)
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (gluten-free if needed)
  • ¼ cup honey (or maple syrup/agave nectar)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Mix BBQ sauce, honey, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Marinate chicken in half the sauce for 30 minutes to 1 hour (optional).
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (or prepare grill/pan).
  • Lightly oil baking sheet or pan.
  • Cook chicken for 10 minutes on one side.
  • Flip chicken, brush with remaining sauce.
  • Cook for another 10-15 minutes, basting occasionally.
  • Check internal temperature (165°F).
  • Rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Marinating longer enhances flavor.
  • Use bone-in for juicier meat.
  • Avoid high heat to prevent burning glaze.
  • Rest chicken after cooking for best texture.
