Ingredients

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup toasted pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Beat eggs and sugar together until fluffy, then add oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
  5. Pour batter into pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  6. While the cake bakes, prepare the caramel filling by melting butter, brown sugar, and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan.
  7. Let the cake cool slightly, then roll it up in a towel and cool completely.
  8. Unroll the cake, spread the caramel filling, and sprinkle with toasted pecans. Roll it back up and refrigerate.
  9. Drizzle with chocolate ganache made from chocolate chips and heavy cream
