Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  • Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Divide batter among liners, filling two-thirds full, and bake 18–22 minutes. Cool completely.
  • Beat frosting ingredients until smooth. Adjust consistency with milk if needed.
  • Pipe ghost shapes on cupcakes and add chocolate chips or edible eyes.
