- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

- ½ cup (120ml) whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your pan.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the batter, starting and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
