- 1 cup water
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs

- 2 cups whole milk
- ¾ cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch

- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F. In a saucepan, melt butter and water over medium heat, then stir in flour and salt.
- Step 2: Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Spread dough onto a greased baking sheet.
- Step 3: Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden. Let cool.
- Step 4: For filling, whisk together milk, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla in a saucepan. Cook until thickened, then cool.
- Step 5: Once the cake has cooled, slice into two layers and fill with the cream. Refrigerate before serving.
