A quick, hearty, and flavorful one-pan dish that comes together in under 30 minutes. With ground beef, vegetables, and a savory sauce, this dish is perfect for busy weeknights. It’s customizable and can be served over rice, potatoes, or pasta for a complete meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced (optional)
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Optional: chili flakes, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté onion and garlic until softened (2–3 minutes).
  • Add ground beef, break it up with a spoon, and cook until browned (6–8 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  • Add bell pepper (optional) and cook for 3–5 minutes.
  • Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and spices. Cook for 1–2 minutes.
  • Pour in crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and cook uncovered for 10 minutes.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve over rice, pasta, or potatoes.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, add a splash of heavy cream or sour cream at the end of cooking.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
