Description

These Chocolate Covered Cherry Rice Krispies Treats are an irresistible twist on the classic treat. A gooey, marshmallow base topped with juicy cherries and covered in smooth, rich chocolate. Perfect for holiday parties, family gatherings, or simply satisfying your sweet tooth.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup maraschino cherries, chopped and drained
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and Rice Krispies cereal. Mix well.
  3. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13-inch pan and press it down gently to form an even layer.
  4. Chop cherries and set aside.
  5. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  6. Pour melted chocolate over the Rice Krispies mixture and spread it evenly.
  7. Refrigerate for 30-60 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
  8. Cut into squares and enjoy!
