Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth, then add the sugars and beat until fluffy.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Roll the dough into balls, place a caramel inside, and seal the dough around the caramel.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes on the sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
