Description
These Buffalo chicken crescent rolls are the perfect blend of comfort food and easy cooking. Flaky crescent dough wraps around a creamy, spicy Buffalo chicken filling that melts together beautifully in the oven. The outside becomes golden and buttery while the inside stays warm, cheesy, and packed with flavor.
I love making these whenever I need a quick appetizer, snack, or even a casual dinner option. They come together in about thirty minutes, which makes them ideal for busy evenings or last-minute gatherings. The creamy mixture of shredded chicken, Buffalo sauce, cream cheese, and melted cheese creates a rich filling that pairs perfectly with the soft, flaky dough.
Whether you serve them for game day, family movie night, or a small gathering with friends, these crescent rolls are always a hit. They’re easy to prepare, incredibly satisfying, and perfect for dipping in ranch or blue cheese dressing.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup Buffalo sauce
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, Buffalo sauce, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and green onions. Stir until the mixture becomes creamy and well combined.
- Open the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangle pieces.
- Place a spoonful of the Buffalo chicken filling near the wide end of each triangle.
- Carefully roll the dough from the wide end toward the narrow tip, enclosing the filling inside the dough.
- Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking tray with the seam side facing down.
- Brush the tops lightly with melted butter.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and fully cooked.
- Allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For the best flavor, use freshly shredded chicken or rotisserie chicken. Softening the cream cheese before mixing helps create a smoother filling. If you enjoy extra heat, add a little hot sauce to the mixture.
