Description

This indulgent Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta is a perfect blend of crispy shrimp, creamy pasta, and a sweet and spicy sauce. Ideal for weeknight dinners or special occasions, this dish is sure to be a family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or penne)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
  • Step 2: Mix cornstarch, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Toss shrimp in the mixture, coating evenly.
  • Step 3: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  • Step 4: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lemon juice to make the Bang Bang sauce.
  • Step 5: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, toss with half the sauce, and add pasta water to adjust consistency.
  • Step 6: Add the crispy shrimp, drizzle with the remaining sauce, and garnish with parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Double fry the shrimp for extra crunch.
  • Adjust the spice level to suit your taste by adding more or less sriracha.
