- 2–3 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup (115g) butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) white sugar
- 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup (170g) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- Add the melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
