Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced horizontally into 4 cutlets)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 3–5 minutes.
- Season chicken cutlets with salt and pepper.
- Dredge in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb and parmesan mix.
- Place in air fryer basket in a single layer, spray lightly with oil.
- Air fry for 6–7 minutes per side until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F.
- Top each with marinara and mozzarella, then air fry for 2–3 more minutes.
- Serve hot with garnish of basil or parsley.
Notes
- Thinner chicken cooks more evenly and crisps better.
- Use a thick marinara to prevent soggy chicken.
- For extra crispy results, toast your breadcrumbs before breading.
